I've seen some amazing things painted in Photoshop, but it never felt quite like I wanted it to when I was working. I like the brush engine and the brushes feel more natural to me. It can be a little overwhelming to new users at first (because there are sooooo many brush options and an almost infinite number of ways to tweak them), but if you stick to learning just a few brushes at first, then experimenting with more (once you've got a good grasp on how the first ones work), it can be a pretty powerful program to use.
